A Valentine for the ones who mean "forever" literally. The Embrace is a two-colour heirloom blanket worked in overlay mosaic crochet, shown here in deep red and cream: two skeletons holding on to each other, long after everything else has gone.
Two skeleton lovers stand wrapped in each other's arms. The taller one bends to rest its skull against the other's head, and their ribs sit together like clasped fingers. A great crescent moon curves behind them, a star shines in each top corner, and a leafy branch climbs up one side. The name THE EMBRACE runs across a banner at the bottom, inside a plain border.
