A Valentine for people who prefer skulls to hearts. The Dance is a two-colour heirloom blanket worked in overlay mosaic crochet, shown here in deep red and cream: two skeletons, one waltz, and a love that has outlasted everything else.
A skeleton couple turns across the card in a ballroom hold, hands joined and raised high, ribs pressed together. A long gown swirls out around their legs and sweeps down to the floor. A full moon hangs in the corner above them, a star shines on either side, and a single long-stemmed rose stands at their feet. The name THE DANCE runs across a banner at the bottom, inside a plain border.
